Abstract

Over time, and more specifically in the last ten years of the 21st century, economic activity has been an agent of transformation of society in different environments, connecting and sharing individuals and corporations, regardless of their size and nationality. In this sense, companies generate benefits to the community, but they can also generate problems by being the stage for challenges to be faced, in the spheres of fundamental rights and the environment. In this context, reflections must be taken into account, to the extent that the production process in line with the economic development perpetrated by the various nations can be responsible for undesirable developments and generate the ruin of humanity on the planet. The social function of the company, therefore, reveals itself as a fundamental element in achieving the desire for growth of corporations, observing and respecting the surrounding environment and the different actors that integrate the relationships and interfaces of organizations.
